Oil Creek and Titusville Railroad

Ride the Oil Creek and Titusville Railroad through the “Valley that changed the World”.  During the two and a half hour train ride car hosts will guide you through the history of the oil industry.  It all started here when Colonel Edwin L. Drake drilled the world’s first successful oil well.  The OC&T Railroad experience includes a visit to the Perry Street Station.  Travel back in time in this beautiful restored freight station, full of exhibits, memorabilia, a soda fountain, gift shop, and tourist information center.  Other stations will be visited along the train ride as well.  This is a truly great adventure

Bike Trail

A 9.5 mile paved bicycle trail through scenic Oil Creek Gorge is a major attraction.  Trailheads can be found at Petroleum Centre and Drake Well Museum.  Trail users may rent bicycles at the Egbert Oil Office at Petroleum Centre.  The concession also sells snacks and soft drinks, and is open each day from Memorial Day to Labor Day, and weekends during the spring and fall.  The trail also serves as a route for hikers and cross-country skiers.  Picnic tables, benches, rain shelters and restrooms are located at key points along the trail, as well as historical markers detailing special events of the 1860’s oil boom era.  Ride one way and take the Oil Creek and Titusville Railroad train back to Titusville.  Fun for the entire family.
